Playground at Guy B. Amis Park Now Open

The new playground is now open for the public to enjoy at Guy B. Amis Park.

The new playground at Guy B. Amis Park in Lexington is open for family fun. “We still have some landscaping to do and will add a fence,” said Public Works Director Robbie McCready, “but the playground is open.” The city will also be putting in additional lighting. “We have all heard the saying that if you build it, they will come,” said Lexington Mayor Jeff Griggs.
“This is exactly what happened when we partnered with the State of Tennessee on the Local Parks and Recreation Fund (LPRF) grant.
