With a quorum being present, the board meeting for the town of Sardis was called to order at 6:30 p.m. with the Invocation by Alderman Holland, followed by the Pledge of Allegiance. District Fire Chief Bobby Floyd was present to discuss the dire need of repairs or replacement of the Station 5 building. He showed pictures of how the walls are shifting. One solution discussed was a temporary fix using spray foam, but at a cost of $20,000 and no guarantees of how long it would last, this option did not appear feasible.
