Republicans Sweep the County as Turnout Heavy

Voters in Henderson County continued their tradition of voting Republican as all the candidates easily won the county in their races.
The polls closed at 7:00 p.m. and by 8:30 p.m. the counting was complete. There were only about 20 provisional votes, not enough to make a difference in any race.
In Henderson County a total of 12,097 votes were cast, just eight votes shy of the number that voted in 2020. In 2020 a total of 12,105 cast ballots.
Former President Donald J. Trump received 10,081 votes or 83.69 percent of the votes here in the county and Democrate Kamala D. Harris has 1,902 votes. Harris’ vote was 15.79 percent.
Republican Senator Marsha Blackburn won re-election to her seat state-wide. Senator Blackburn received 9,993 votes here in Henderson County. Democratic challenger Gloria Johnson received 1,704 votes.
Representative David Kustoff (Rep.) had 9,948 votes in Henderson County, also winning district wide. Sarah Freeman (Dem.) received 1,630 and James Hart (Ind.), 222.
State Representative Kirk Haston had 3,150 votes in Henderson County for District 72. Rep. Brock Martin received 7,257 voted in Henderson County for District 79. Both were unopposed in their races.
