Sidewalk Project to Start Downtown
The latest sidewalk improvements will start along Main Street in downtown Lexington, July 17th.

Expect some delays and inconvenience as Lexington starts another sidewalk project, this time in the downtown court square area of the city.
In April, Lexington aldermen approve a low bid of $821,767 from NSITE, Inc. of Milan. The project will start on Monday, July 17th and continue through December 2023. The project is aimed at bringing the sidewalks into compliance with the newest American with Disabilities Act (ADA) and safety codes. The city has received a grant from the Tennessee Department of Transportation to cover 80 percent of the cost.
