Two Charged in Interstate Drug Bust

Two were arrested following a traffic stop on Interstate-40, Thursday, March 9th.
According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol at 10:45 a.m. troopers stopped a passenger car at the 101 mile-marker of Interstate-40. The roadside investigation and search revealed approximately 36 pounds of “a green leafy substance believed to be marijuana.”
The highway patrol’s Interdiction Team out of Nashville responded to the scene and two occupants were arrested according to the THP.
