Lady Lions Advance to the Quarterfinals with Ease

The Scotts Hill Lady Lions basketball team hosted their first game of the regional tournament this past Friday, February 24. The Lady Lions took on MLK Prep in the quarterfinal game of the tournament. The Lady Lions got whatever they wanted in this game. Scotts Hill finished the game with 72 points and only allowed MLK Prep to post 13 points in a 59-point victory.
The Lady Lions finished the first quarter with 17 points, while MLK Prep only scored one point. The second quarter saw Scotts Hill post 20 points and MLK Prep net five. The Lady Lions went into halftime with a 31-point lead and a score of 37-6. Scotts Hill added 20 points to their total in the third quarter, compared to MLK Prep’s six. In the final quarter, the Lady Lions accumulated 14 points and held MLK Prep to one, giving Scotts Hill the win.
