Lady Tigers Defeated in District Semi-Finals Game

The Lexington High School Lady Tigers basketball club faced off with the Chester County Eagles in the district semi-finals last Friday, February 17. The Lady Tigers headed to Chester County for the district tournament, looking to upset the Lady Eagles at home. The Lady Tigers could not upset the Lady Eagles and suffered a tough loss. The Lady Tigers lost by six points with the final score of the contest was 34–40.
In the first quarter, Lexington had their worst quarter, only scoring five points to Chester County’s 16. Lexington only scored six points in the second quarter while the Lady Eagles scored seven. The Lady Tigers went into halftime trailing by 12 points with a score of 11-23. At the start of the second half, Lexington posted 17 points and held the Lady Eagles to 12. In the fourth quarter, the Lady Tigers could not complete the comeback for the win. Lexington scored six points, while Chester County netted five.
