Miss Tennessee’s Journey Nears End

For Miss Tennessee Lauren Dickson her journey as Miss Tennessee is nearing its end. With a few months left in her reign, Dickson was feeling relaxed and enjoying her visit to the Lexington Rotary Club, Tuesday, February 16th.
She was returning to where her journey had begun. Dickson was first selected Miss Lexington, and then Miss Tennessee.
“This is like coming home, because I know all of you,” Dickson said. “You have supported my journey from the beginning.”
“I have about four and a half months left in this journey and then it completely closes forever,” Dickson added.
She started the road to the Miss America competition in 2017 and it didn’t really hit her until the weekend before last, that her journey was nearly complete. Dickson appeared at a preliminary competition for Miss Tennessee where she met some of the new representatives that will be competing for her job.
“I think it finally hit me that this is coming to an end,” Dickson stated. “This is actually the first time I am feeling those feelings.”
