Tigers Suffer Homecoming Loss

The Lexington Tigers basketball program has hit a rough patch in the past three games. Lexington was set to play the Northside Indians for homecoming this past Friday, January 20. The Tigers had just lost to their rival Scotts Hill Lions the night before and wanted to get off the losing streak they were on. Unfortunately, the Tigers could not beat the Indians and suffered their third loss in a row.

Lexington posted 15 points in the first quarter but gave up 19 points to Northside. In the second quarter, the Tigers scored 11 points while giving up 15 more to the Indians. Lexington would head into halftime down by eight points with the scoreboard reading 26–34. The third quarter saw both teams accumulate 14 points apiece.
