The Scotts Hill Lady Lions basketball program is having a great year. The Lady Lions were coming off of a win over the Madison Lady Mustangs last Tuesday, January 17. Last Thursday, January 19, The Lady Lions were hosting their in-county rival Lexington Lady Tigers, and they were looking to add another win under their belt. The Lady Lions gave the home crowd the win they wanted, and the score after the final buzzer saw Scotts Hill leading 36-29.
The Lady Lions had their worst quarter in the first quarter, posting only two points to the Lady Tigers’ five. In the second quarter, Scotts Hill added nine points to their total, and the Lady Tigers scored 11. The score heading into halftime saw Scotts Hill down by five points with a score of 11-16. The third quarter was where the Lions started to mount their comeback. The Lady Lions added eight points to their total and only gave up six points to the Lady Tigers.
