The Scotts Hill High School Lions basketball program was looking to get its second win in a row. They had just collected a win over the Madison Mustangs on January 17. The Lions were set to play their in-county rival Lexington Tigers last Thursday, January 19, at Scotts Hill. The Lions were able to grab a big win over the Tigers with a final score of 59-52.
Scotts Hill came out of the gates hot, scoring only 18 points to the Tigers’ 11. The Lions and Tigers both posted 11 points apiece in the second quarter. The score of the contest heading into halftime was 29-22, with the Lions in the lead. At the start of the second half, the Lions added 15 points and the Tigers scored 12 points.
