Lions Lose Close Game to the Eagles

The Scotts Hill High School Lions basketball program wanted to collect back-to-back wins on back-to-back nights. The Lions had just upset their in-county rival Lexington Tigers last Thursday, January 19. The Lions were set to play the Chester County Eagles last Friday, January 20, at home. Scotts Hill was unable to beat the Chester County Eagles with a final score of 68-73.

Scotts Hill had an 18-point first quarter but allowed the Eagles to score 17 of their own. The Lions turned up in the second quarter, posting 22 points and holding the Eagles to 13. Scotts Hill headed into halftime with a ten-point lead and a score of 40-30. At the start of the second half, both teams had added 19 points apiece to their total. Scotts Hill had their worst quarter of the game, and Chester County had their best in the fourth quarter. The fourth quarter ultimately cost the Lions the game, with them only accumulating…
