The Lexington Tigers basketball team was coming off a tough loss to Henry County last Tuesday, January 17. Last Thursday, January 19, the Tigers were looking to get back on track with a win over their in-county rival Scotts Hill Lions. The Tigers were unable to get back in the win column and suffered a defeat to the Lions. The final score of the contest was 59-52 in favor of the LHS Tigers.
Lexington started the game with an 11-point quarter but gave up 18 points to the Lions. In the second quarter, the Tigers and the Lions both scored 11 points apiece. Lexington would head into halftime down by seven with the scoreboard reading 22-29. The third quarter did not go in the Tigers’ favor, with the Lions posting 15 points to their 11.
