Lady Tigers Lose to Bolivar

The Lexington Lady Tigers basketball team was looking to get their second win in a row after they won big over the Humboldt Lady Vikings on January 6. Lexington played the Bolivar Central Lady Tigers last Tuesday, January 10. A scheduled home game for Lexington was moved to Bolivar. The Lady Tigers lost the home crowd advantage and ultimately lost the game to Bolivar Central with a final score of 31-46

The Lady Tigers really struggled in the first quarter of play. Lexington did not collect a single point in the first quarter and gave up 11 points to Bolivar Central. The second quarter was a little better effort from Lexington, posting five points, but Bolivar added another 11 to their total. Lexington saw themselves down 22-5 headed into halftime. The third quarter Lexington won by three points by scoring 12 points to Bolivar’s nine. In the fourth quarter, Lexington put up 14 points, but Bolivar scored 15 points and closed out this game.
