Three Lexington High School students were sent to the Henderson County Community Hospital for observation after possibly inhaling what is believed to be “Delta 9” vape, according to Henderson County Sheriff Brian Duke.
The Henderson County Sheriff’s Department and the Lexington Police Department are investigating the incident, which involved four students. Three of the students were transported to the hospital due to being heavily impaired.
“Delta 9 vape pens are sold in serval local businesses and are legal for adult use, not minors,” according to Sheriff Duke.
Delta 9 products are legal, hemp-based e-liquids. The investigation is ongoing.
