LHS Tigers Takedown Panthers in Overtime

Last Tuesday, January 3, the Lexington Tigers basketball program made a trip to Decatur County to play their rival Riverside Panthers. The Tigers came into this game with a win from their last time touching the court in the Milan Christmas Tournament and were looking to get the win in the Panthers’ house. The Tigers were able to pull an overtime upset against the Panthers to start the new year with a final score of 63-56.
The Tigers came out of the first quarter recording 13 points, but the Panthers were able to score 13 points as well. The second quarter saw Lexington take a five-point lead, scoring 15 points while holding Riverside to ten points. The score heading into halftime had Lexington leading 28-23. The Tigers led by…
