Hearings Set to Discuss Parks and Recreation Fund Grants

Over the next two weeks a series of meetings will be held around Henderson County to discuss the 2023 Tennessee Parks and Recreation Fund Grants.

On Tuesday, December 17th, Henderson County will hold a hearing at noon, at the courthouse, the City of Lexington will then meet at 1:00 p.m. at city hall and the City of Sardis will meet at 5:00 p.m. at city hall.

A second meeting will be held the following week. On January 24th, the Lexington meeting will be at 4:00 p.m. at city hall. Henderson County will meet at 5:00 p.m. at the courthouse. The City of Sardis will hold it’s meeting at 6:30 p.m. at city hall.

Each government entity can apply for individual Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation 50-50 matching grants.

The city of Scotts Hill has already held its hearings. The public will have an opportunity to give some input into the plans.
