Lady Lions Secure Runner-Up Spot

The Scotts Hill Lady Lion basketball program was looking to win their third game in a row in the Above the Rim Classic. The Lady Lions played in the Championship game against the Rossville Christian Academy Lady Wolves. The Lions were not able to collect the win but were named runner-up of the eight-team tournament. The final score between the Lady Lions and Lady Wolves was 53-62.

Scotts Hill posted 14 points in the first quarter with Rossville scoring 14 points as well. The second quarter was the Lady Lions worst quarter. The Lady Lions only posted seven points and gave up 20 points to the Lady Wolves. The score going into the half was 34-21 with Rossville in the lead. The Lady Lions started the second half hot with a 21-point third quarter while the Lady Wolves only netted 13 points in the quarter. The Lady Lions were unable to make the comeback scoring 11 points to Rossville’s 13 points in the fourth quarter.
