Lady Tigers Roll to Win over North Side

Last Tuesday, December 13, the Lexington High School Lady Tigers basketball team hit the road to take on the Lady Indians of North Side High School. Lexington had just come out of a tough game against their in-county rival Scotts Hill and wanted to string success together against North Side. The Lady Tigers had no issues with the Lady Indians and went on to take a commanding victory. The final score of the contest came to be 43-19, in favor of Lexington High School.
The game started with the Lady Tigers scoring six points in the first quarter and held the Lady Indians to four points in the starting quarter. In the second quarter, Lexington went on to post 16 points and North Side was not able to record any points in the second quarter. At halftime, the score was 22-4, in favor of the Lady Tigers. The third quarter saw Lexington net 16 more points and the Lady Tigers held North Side to five points after halftime. In the final quarter of play, Lexington was able to score five more points on their way to victory. The Lady Indians finished with ten points in the fourth quarter.
Lexington managed to make it to the free throw line 24 times in the game and connected on 17 attempts from the charity stripe.
Leading the team in scoring on the evening was Callie McDonald. She had a team high 14 points in the win. Kylie Waldrep followed suit with 11 points of her own and Alaysia Belew netted four points for the Lady Tigers. Holly Simons, Shay Hollingsworth, and…
