Big Red Tigers Basketball Win Consecutive Games

The Lexington High School Tigers basketball team was coming off a win against Madison Academic in their first Hall of Fame game last Tuesday night. Over the weekend, the Tigers basketball program was on the road to face a West Carroll team looking to spoil any momentum the Tigers may have been trying to build upon. That wasn’t to be the case, as the Lexington High School Tigers basketball team would easily defeat West Carroll by a final score of 79-37.

The Big Red Tigers got things going in the first quarter by posting 24 points to start the game. West Carroll was limited to only eight points in the opening quarter. Lexington added another 23 points to their total in the second quarter before heading to the locker room for halftime. West Carroll was able to score 12 points in the second quarter but trailed at halftime, 47-20. In the third quarter the Tigers recorded 20 points and held West Carroll to only securing ten points. The fourth quarter saw Lexington net 12 points on their way to a victory, while keeping West Carroll to only securing seven points before the end of the game.

Lexington connected on 24 made two-point baskets and were also able to make eight shots from behind the 3-point line. As a team, the Tigers went 7 of 10 from the charity stripe in the win over West Carroll.
