Lexington Volleyball Successful in Tri-Match

The Lady Tigers Volleyball program of Lexington High School hit the road last Tuesday evening, September 20, 2022, and headed to Milan, Tennessee to compete in a tri-match against Milan and Madison Academic. Lexington has been a force to be reckoned with on the volleyball court this season and this evening wasn’t any different. The Lady Tigers were victorious in both matches against Milan and Madison.
Lexington took the win over Milan in three sets, dropping the first set 20-25 and winning the next two sets 25-22 and 25-19.
Kylie Atchison led the team in assists with 24 and Ellie Smith recorded one. Smith would lead in kills with 12. She was followed by Stella Huber who had seven, Atchison recorded four, Aubrey Hart finished with four also and Kenzie Reeves recorded one kill in the win.
Ellie Smith led the Lady Tigers in blocks with three. She would also be the team leader in digs with ten. Both Kylie Atchison and Stella Huber recorded nine digs each. Emmy Corbitt and Kenzie Reeves collected seven digs a piece and Aubrey Hart recorded four. Both Gracie Bromley and Taylor Maness each had three digs in the win.
Stella Huber and Ellie Smith recorded one ace apiece against Milan. Smith led in service points with 15. Emmy Corbitt, Stella Huber, and Kenzie Reeves each had 13 service points apiece, as well.
In game two, Lexington took on Madison Academic. The Lady Tigers would win in two sets 25-21 and 31-29.
