County Firemen’s Quick Action Prevents Fire Damage
A quick response by the Henderson County Fire Department prevented a fire from spreading to a home on Independence Road, August 17, 2022.

Firefighters from Henderson County Fire Stations 1, 2, and 7 quickly extinguished a fire in the 1000 block of Independence Road, August 17, 2022. Firemen found an unattended rubbish fire near a home, according to Henderson County Fire Chief Lynn Murphy.
Heat from the fire melted siding on the nearby structure, according to Chief Murphy. The fire originated inside a barrel within the rubbish.
