The Scotts Hill Lady Lions volleyball team entered the 2022 regular season by travelling to Lexington to take on the Lady Tigers volleyball program. The Lady Lions were looking to take down their in-county rival by starting the season with a win. Unfortunately, Scotts Hill was not able to overcome the power of the Lady Tigers and were defeated in three straight sets, 19-25, 14-25, and 10-25. The junior varsity Lady Lions were able to win two out of the three sets that were played against Lexington, however.
The leading players in stat performances for the Lady Lions were Bracyn Sullivan, who recorded six assists. Haven Brawley and Addy Cook each collected three kills a piece and Heather Bartholomew finished the with nine digs on the night.
Three Lady Lions players also were able to record one ace apiece. Those players were Addy Cook, Mallory Puckett, and Haven Brawley.
Head coach of the Scotts Hill High School Lady Lions volleyball team, Michaela Walters shared a few words after the match. “Lexington is a great volleyball team and played a fantastic game. Scotts Hill put up a very good fight for a while, showing potential for a lot of good things to come this season,” stated Walters.
