HCN Tigers Have Success in McKenzie Jamboree

The Henderson County North Tigers traveled to McKenzie, Tennessee on Saturday evening, August 6, 2022, for the annual Middle School Jamboree. The varsity team played Dresden in the first game. Dresden would score first on a quick one play drive to start the game but would be denied for the rest of the game by what proved to be a stout Tigers defense. The Tigers scored on the second possession of the game on a 40-yard touchdown pass from Webb White to Aiden Seaton. The Tigers would score again on an interception that would have been returned by Alex Stowe if not for the teams playing on half the field. Ridge Deere would intercept another pass that would have also been returned for a touchdown if not for the half field of play.
The Tigers would score again on offense on a 28-yard run by Casen Maness. Hemi Finch was the leading rusher for the Tigers collecting 29 yards on five carries. Casen Maness had 45 yards receiving and rushing combined and one touchdown. Aiden Seaton had 40 yards receiving and also scored a touchdown. Webb White was 3 for 3 passing for 59 yards, with one touchdown. Eleven Tigers got in on the defensive effort by registering tackles.
In the junior varsity game, the Henderson County North Tigers played against the Waverly Tigers. HCN would score three times in the game, thanks to a strong rushing effort. Several Tigers got in on the rushing action, but Redding Wilson, Trevor Johnson, Joseph Pritchard, and Akeem Cox were the biggest ground gainers.
