Sheriff Duke Sues County Commission for More Funds
Henderson County Sheriff Brian Duke has brought a lawsuit against the Henderson County Commission seeking additional funding for the Sheriff’s Department.

A lawyer for Henderson County Mayor Eddie Bray has filed an answer to the lawsuit brought by Sheriff Brian Duke seeking additional funding for the department.
The lawsuit was filed in Henderson County Circuit Court, July 25, 2022, and the response was filed August 1, 2022.
This is the fourth such lawsuit filed in West Tennessee by county sheriffs against county commissions in the past three years. In 2019, the Sheriffs of Madison, Decatur, and Hardeman Counties each filed similar lawsuits.
