Lexington Title Holders Honored at Reception

Miss Tennessee Lauren Dickson and Miss Tennessee Outstanding Teen Jane Marie Franks were honored Sunday during a reception at the First Baptist Church in Lexington.
A large group of supporters, family and friends lined up to congratulate both Dickson and Franks and have photos made with them.
In a rare event both won their state titles June 25, 2022, in Memphis. Both were also winners in the Miss Lexington Pageant.
“It is the first time in the organization’s history to have a Miss Tennessee and Miss Outstanding Teen Tennessee win from the same qualifying pageant,” Joe Albright, CEO of the Miss Tennessee Organization said at the reception. “We are excited.”
Dickson spoke passionately about her work with the Snack Backpack Program of the Regional Inter-Faith Association (RIFA).
The Snack Backpack Program provides kid-friendly, easy to prepare, nutritious food to school children who have little or no food over the weekend.
Dickson will be competing in the Miss America Pageant in Connecticut in December.
Dickson is a graduate of the University of Tennessee Martin. She currently works as a financial advisor. Dickson is pursuing a Masters of Business Administration at Union University.
Jane Marie Franks also thanked everyone for attending the reception. A very emotional Franks said Dickson was a very good role model.
Franks, 16, is a future graduate of Frank Hughes in Clifton.
She will be competing in the Miss America Outstanding Teen Competition in Dallas August 10th – 12th. This was local pageant directors Rachel Wade and Kendra Grissom’s first year…
