Culver Select American Legion State Commander
Lanny Culver was recently selected the Commander of the Tennessee American Legion. He is the first member from Henderson County to hold the top honor.

Lexington’s Lanny Culver was selected Department Commander of the Tennessee American Legion July 3, 2022, in Franklin, TN. Culver, a local businessman, is the first Department Commander from Henderson County.
Culver served in the U. S. Air Force from July 13, 1978, to December 13, 1982. He has previously served as Commander of Post 77 in Lexington. Culver was nominated for the position by Scotts Hill Post 243.
The Department Commander is the top leadership position in the state. He will travel and meet with other units and monitor their activities.
