The City of Lexington is busy repaving and improving the city streets as part of the $300,000 budgeted for streets.

According to Cody Wood, Lexington City Recorder/CFO, the city is trying to spread the work around to the most needed streets. “We are also doing some milling of the streets,” Wood added.

The city recently completed paving on Weaver Street, White Street, Roberts Street, and Huntsman Avenue. Stanford and Linden Streets are also projected to be completed once the installation of the crosswalk is finished.

Upcoming projects include Cannon Drive, Buck Street, Lizzie Dee Lane, and Ross Street.

Speed bumps are being added to Eastgate Drive, Weaver Street, Ash Street, and White Street.  These projects are expected to be completed in the next two weeks.
