The special guest speaker for the May 24, 2022, meeting of the Lexington Rotary Club was Peter Noll, with NBC’s Channel 39 in Jackson.
Peter is the General Manager for Channel 39. With the price of gas, Peter led the group on a virtual journey of Channel 39, which started broadcasting in Jackson eight years ago. They are in the oldest occupied building in Jackson, down on Main Street, and people are always sending old time photos of the buildings.
The station started with two guys who had a dream of bringing television broadcasting to areas that were underserved, and the Jackson area did not have NBC. Celebrity Apprentice with Donald Trump was the new show the year they aired in…
