Lexington Fire Department Responds to Semi Truck Fire

A semi truck caught on fire and was quickly extinguished by the Lexington Fire Department on Tuesday evening, May 17, 2022.

Tuesday evening, May 17, 2022, the Lexington Fire Department responded with a crew of twelve to a vehicle fire reported at the Major Market location at the corner of South Broad Street and Cook Street.
According to Wesley Vaughn with the LFD, the fire was electrical in nature and had begun under the hood in the area where some wiring entered the cabin firewall of a semi-truck and tractor rig.
