LHS Lady Tigers Blank Chester County in Win

The Lexington High School Lady Tigers softball team was back in action on Tuesday, May 3, against an archrival in the Lady Eagles of Chester County High School. This was a home game for the Lady Tigers being played at the Henderson County Sportsplex in front of their hometown crowd of supporters. Lexington wasted no time in showing their dominance against Chester County and would roll in this game. The Lady Tigers were victorious over the Lady Eagles by a score of 11-0.

Only allowing Chester County to record one hit in the game, and not plate any runs, the Lady Tigers had their way in the game. Lexington scored one run in the bottom of the first inning, along with one run in the bottom of the second inning. Then, the Lady Tigers added three runs in the bottom of the third inning and topped off the win in the shortened game with six runs in the bottom of the fourth inning.

At the plate, it would be Shay Hollingsworth that led the Lady Tigers. She went 2 for 2 in the game. Cadey McDaniel, and Marley Maness were right behind her, each finishing 2 for 3 for Lexington.
