Tigers Fall in Consecutive Games to End Tough Week

Coming off two losses in the earlier part of last week, the Lexington High School Tigers baseball team was looking to get back in the win column. Playing in two home games the latter part of last week and this past weekend, Lexington was hoping the home field advantage would be of great use in the games against Milan and Westview. In a close game against the Bulldogs, the Tigers would end up falling by a score of 6-3, then Martin Westview came in and beat Lexington by a final score of 9-1.
Going up against Milan, Lexington had the lead for a good portion of the game. The Tigers would allow the Bulldogs to plate three runs in back-to-back innings late in the game to take a 6-3 loss.
Both teams were held scoreless through three innings of play and then Lexington took the lead in the game with three runs in the bottom of the fourth inning. Milan would bounce back and score three runs in each the top of the sixth inning and seventh inning to go on and win the game by three runs.
Three Tigers led the way at the plate. Owen Foster, Noah Wood, and Patton Meyer each finished 1 for 2 for Lexington. Meyer and Wood recorded a single apiece, while Foster reached on a…
