LHS Softball Grabs Two Non-District Victories

Before beginning play in their own tournament that was hosted this past weekend, the Lexington High School Lady Tigers softball team had two non-district games that were played in the latter part of last week. The Lady Tigers would take on Huntingdon and Brighton in away games last Thursday and Friday. Lexington is a force to be reckoned with on the softball field this year and these two opponents realized that. The Lady Tigers showed their strengths as the team rolled with two more victories in these games.
Lexington travelled to Carroll County last Thursday to take on Huntingdon. In somewhat of a closer game that some may have expected, it was still the Lady Tigers coming out on top. Lexington won by a final score of 2-0.
The Lady Tigers held their opponent scoreless all game long and scored two runs of their own in the top of the sixth inning to take another win on the season.
Leading the way at the plate for the Lady Tigers were Kennedy Brown and Madelynn Mooney. Each player finished 2 for 3. Mykenzi Duke went 1 for 2 in the win, as well. Both Shay Hollingsworth and Marely Maness finished the game 1 for 3 each. Kyrsten Brown was…
