The special guest speaker at the April 5, 2022, Lexington Rotary Club was Clare Saum, who is the marketing director for the Discovery Park of America, which is located in Union City, Tennessee.
The park was a vision of Robert Kirkland and put into place in 2013. The site was once a row crop field, as is much of today’s Obion County. The Goodyear plant closed in 2007, but Kirkland continued to move forward with his plan, which originated from an idea for an Obion County Museum.
