The Veterans Honor Guard of Parkers Crossroads held a special ceremony at the end of their regular meeting on Thursday, March 17, 2022, to receive their accreditation certificates.

Sergeant First Class Brandon S. Solomon, Non-Commissioned Officer in Charge of the Military Funeral Honors Program with the Tennessee National Guard, presented the certifications.

The accreditation from the United States Department of the Army Military Funeral Honors Program formally recognizes the member and organization as an authorized provider of honor guard funeral services for veterans. The accreditation is renewable every three years.

Receiving the accreditation were: Sam Timberlake, Don Inman, Wallace Smith, Harry Ecoff, Jim McGill, Frankie Harris, Rocky Williams, Buddy Collins, Michael Kidd, Art Hemby, Sherman Boyd, Spurgeon Smith, Jimmy Weaver, Sonny Corliss, Bill Tate, Dennis Simpson, Wayne Dolly, Chaplain Arthur Pritchard, Don Johnson, and Keith Hair.
