LHS Tennis Season Starts Despite Construction
Lexington High School tennis courts are currently under construction in replacing the courts for the Tigers and Lady Tiger teams.

The Lexington High School tennis teams are getting new and improved courts for this upcoming season. As the construction ensues in making these remarkable changes, that isn’t stopping the teams from competing this season. Although their courts aren’t able to be played on at this time, the season got started yesterday with an away match at Hardin County High School. The team will look to be on the road for the start of the season, in hopes of getting everything completed and accomplished at their home complex.
For the Lexington High School boy’s tennis team, this year’s squad has five team members for the 2022 season. Two seniors in Meet Patel and Cutter Franks lead the way as upperclassmen. Following them is sophomore Joel Renfroe. The final two members of the team are Ty Ferguson and Mason White. Both of those being freshmen on the squad.
On the girl’s side of things for the LHS tennis team, the lone senior of the team is Avery Pace. With there being no juniors or freshmen team members, that leaves the rest of the squad being sophomores. A total of four of them in fact. The sophomore players are Marley Scott, Addison Wood, Megan Wood, and Morgan Wood.
As stated in the beginning of the article, Lexington got the season started yesterday with a trip to Savannah, Tennessee to take on Hardin County High School. This would be a district matchup to start the season. Tomorrow, March 17, the tennis teams make their way to…
