SH Lady Lions Punch Ticket To Championship

On Thursday, February 17, 2022, the Scotts Hill Lady Lions made their way to Adamsville High School to face the Bolivar Lady Tigers. The winner would advance to the district championship game and an opportunity to check off another goal to the season. Scotts Hill got out to a quick lead after two quarters and never looked back. The Lady Lions gave themselves a chance at a championship with a win over Bolivar. The final score was 56-44.
Scotts Hill would score 14 points to start the game. Bolivar recorded six points in the first quarter of play. The Lady Lions came back and posted eleven points in the second quarter and held Bolivar to only scoring six points again before halftime. In the third quarter of play, the Lady Lions would add 14 more points to their total. Bolivar came away with 16 points in the third quarter, however. Scotts Hill closed the game out by scoring 17 points in the fourth quarter and held their opponent to 16 points in the win.
The Lady Lions were led in scoring by Jaden Scates, who posted 12 points in the win. Both Lacie Dunavant and Mallory Puckett each scored ten points apiece. Julie Hampton netted nine points for the Lady Lions and Heather Bartholomew finished with seven points in the game. Kaylin Wade and…
