Lady Tigers Defeated By Crockett County

In their last game before the Christmas holiday of this year, the Lexington High School Lady Tigers basketball team hosted the Crockett County Lady Cavaliers last Tuesday, December 21, 2021. Trying to get back in the win column after a tough loss to Dyer County in the FCA Classic, Lexington had their work cut out for them on the evening. The game was back and forth as time ticked away but unfortunately for the Lady Tigers it would be Crockett County that came out as the winner of the contest. The final score of the game was 45-38, by way of the Lady Cavaliers.

Taking the top spot in scoring for Lexington was Sarah Simmons. She would finish with 13 points for the Lady Tigers. Jadyn Yarbro collected nine points on the night and Zoey Haynes recorded six points in the loss. Canace Butler netted five points against the Lady Cavaliers, as well. Both Kylie Waldrup and Alaysia Belew each scored two points for Lexington and Diamond Holland rounded out the Lady Tigers in scoring by collecting one point in the game.

The game was started by Lexington accumulating ten points in the first quarter. Crockett County was able to score 15 points against the Lady Tigers defense to start the game. In the second quarter, Crockett County would answer by scoring seven points and Lexington was able to…
