Petitions Picked Up for County Primary

Petitions have been picked up by many for the May 3, 2022 primary election.

The first day to pick up petitions for the May 3, 2022, primary was Monday, December 20, 2021. The qualifying deadline will be noon on Thursday, February 17, 2022.

“It’s been busy,” said Lora Volner, Assistant Administrator of Elections, “with petitions being picked up throughout the day, and two have qualified already.”

Petitions for the County Mayor’s race have been picked up by incumbent Eddie Bray, James Robert McCready, and David Watts. McCready has turned in a qualifying petition.

For Sheriff, petitions have been picked up by incumbent Brian Duke and Bradley T. Atkinson, with Duke having turned in a qualifying petition. Other petitions were picked up by…
