SH Lady Lions Destroy Clarksburg Lady Rockets

The Lady Lions basketball team hit the road last Friday night, December 3, to head to Clarksburg High School. Scotts Hill didn’t waste any time in setting the tone on the night. The Lady Lions got out to a big lead and never looked back. At the end of the game, it was all Scotts Hill. The final score came to be 63-30, in favor of the Scotts Hill Lady Lions.

To start the game, the Lady Lions scored 16 points in the opening quarter of play. Scotts Hill held Clarksburg to ten points in the quarter. In the second quarter, Scotts Hill scored another 20 points and only allowed the Lady Rockets to three points. With a big lead in the game, the Lady Lions added another nine points in the third quarter and held Clarksburg to scoring four points. The fourth quarter saw Scotts Hill put 18 points on the scoreboard and the Lady Rockets were only able to score 13 points as well.

The top scorer for the Lady Lions was Heather Bartholomew, who netted 16 points in the win. Following her was both Julie Hampton and Jaden Scates who each scored ten points. Lacie Dunavant added eight points of her own and Kaylin Wade finished with seven points. Brooklyn Wilkerson recorded three points over Clarksburg.
