LHS Lady Tigers Fall To Jackson Christian

The Lady Tigers hit the road last Tuesday night, to head into Jackson, Tennessee to take on the Lady Eagles of Jackson Christian School. Lexington knew they would have to play hard and smart as JCS would be a good team to go up against. In the end, the Lady Eagles proved to be too much for Lexington as they fell and took the defeat. The final score of the game was 41-33, in favor of JCS.
The game did not start out the way the Lady Tigers had hoped. Lexington was unable to score any points in the opening quarter against Jackson Christian School. The Lady Eagles put 12 points on the scoreboard in the opening quarter. In the second quarter, Lexington scored six points but allowed JCS to record eight points. At halftime, the Lady Tigers trailed 20-6. In the third quarter, Lexington was able to score nine points and held the Lady Eagles to eight points. Trying their best to mount a comeback, the Lady Tigers put 18 points on the scoreboard in the fourth quarter and allowed JCS to score 12.
Leading the way in scoring for Lexington on the evening was Candace Butler, who netted eight points in the loss. Following her was Sarah Simmons who scored seven points for the Lady Tigers. Kyie Waldrep added six points and Alaysia Belew recorded…
