On Saturday, October 2, 2021, several of the Lady Minutemen soccer players came out to support and celebrate their teammate and goalie, Madison “Mad Dog” Smith. Madison was nominated for the All-Conference Player Award for the Lady Minutemen soccer team. “While so many of these ladies deserved this award, there could only be one. This was not an easy decision by me or the other coaches and there was a lot of deliberation”, said coach Jeremy Lansing.
“I have told these ladies from the very beginning that we are a TEAM, we aren’t centered around one player or even a couple of players, we are centered around our team. Today this TEAM (as many as were able) showed up to support their teammate receiving this award at the championship game in the pouring down rain”, stated coach Jeremy Lansing.

The head coach would go on to share that he loves these ladies more than they’ll ever know and that he couldn’t be prouder of the ladies coming out to support their “Mad Dog” teammate on this day.
