SH Student Anglers Hold Fundraiser Tournament

Scotts Hill Student Anglers held their first tournament of the 2021-2022 season. This is an annual fundraiser tournament held by the club. There was a great turn out, with 39 boats from around the area and from as far as Nashville, that came to compete. This tournament was open to any youth and adult team. The teams competed for the heaviest five fish limit in their division or the smallest five fish limit of the tournament. The main thing is everyone had fun.

The high school division had 26 entries. First place went to Henry County’s Ben Puckett and Gage Byars with boat captain Michael Puckett. The team had a five fish limit and total weight of 14.92 lbs. and even won the Big Fish at 5.69 lbs. Second place went to Scotts Hill Student Anglers Hunter Sims and Caleb Brown with boat captain Kevin Sims. Third place went to Scotts Hill Student Anglers Isaac Hayes and Hunter Brigance with boat captain Matt Cummings and fourth place went to Scotts Hill Student Angler Jayden Lewis and boat captain Hunter Reedy.

The junior division had 13 entries. First place in this division went to Nora Ballhagen and boat captain Kyle Ballhagen with five fish for a total weight of 10.16 lbs. and Big Fish weighing 5.46 lbs. Second place was awarded to Gus Edgin and Hunter Springer with boat captain…
