On August 31, 2021, the LHS Lady Tigers soccer team was defeated by JSC, by a final score of 1-0.
Jasmine Finch, a Lady Tiger right midfielder said, “JCS has a great defense. We tried our best holding them off as well as having pretty evenly matched teams, but our motivation just wasn’t there that game. That’s why we lost, but we can use all of this as learning moments, taking a few ideas we developed throughout this game as a team and applying them to the next games, especially district games.”
These ideas certainly paid off in the Tigers next home game on August 2, 2021, against Hardin County. Lexington defeated Hardin County, 1-0, which was their first district game of the season. The goal was made by Jurni Montague.
The Lady Tigers next home game is scheduled for September 14, 2021, at 6:00 p.m. against Southside. The full schedule is listed on the Facebook page, Lady Tigers Soccer Team- Lexington TN.
