38th Annual Circles of Hope Telethon

The 38th Annual Circles of Hope Telethon for the Exchange Club Carl Perkins Center for the Prevention of Child Abuse was held in Jackson on Sunday, August 15, 2021. This year’s theme was “Be a Light, Help Prevent Child Abuse. In a world full of darkness, be a shining light of hope and help prevent and end child abuse for good.”
Due to concerns with rising COVID-19 numbers, there wasn’t the person to person check presentations this year from the local centers and event groups. However, Henderson County was still represented with pledges from the local center events such as the Dancing With the Stars Gala, the Daddy-Daughter Dance, and the Beech Lake Bike Fest, which is scheduled for October 16, 2021.
Local Carl Perkins Center Board President Daniel Clark said the pledges from the Henderson County events, along with individual pledges from the people of Henderson County, contributed to the success of the telethon this year. The Exchange Club Carl Perkins Center raised about $1,445,000.00 during Sunday’s telethon.
