Lady Tigers Attend Mississippi State Softball Camp

With the start of the softball season not coming until the second week of March 2022, the Lexington High School Lady Tigers softball team is making sure to put in the extra work way before the official start of the regular season ever gets under way. This work will pay dividends in becoming a championship program that the team will strive to be.
The Lady Tigers got an early jump on the 2022 season over the last week by attending the Mississippi State softball team camp in Starkville, Mississippi. This was the 5th trip to Mississippi State for the Lady Tigers and the experience was fantastic as always.
The Lady Tigers graduated one senior from the 2021 State Runner-Up season, in Lauren Hall, and added nine new freshmen to the mix. This camp was a great opportunity for the newcomers to get some high school softball playing experience, but also a chance for the team to spend some quality time together to begin bonding for the 2022 season.
The girls were able to stay in a house together for two nights and enjoy card games, Harry Potter movies, which was assistant coach Caitlin Wood’s idea, and the team participated in team devotionals while attending the camp.
On the field, the competition was the best that Lexington softball has seen at camp since the team started
