Exercise at Henderson County 911 May Lead to Saving More Lives

Sirius and Rapid Response SOS partnered with Henderson County 911 and Emergency Management on Wednesday morning, June 23, 2021, in an exercise that could lead to saving more lives nationwide.
“The Henderson County Fire Department will be making calls into 911, simulating vehicle accidents,” said Pam Tolley, Director of Henderson County 911. “We have questions that narrow down the location of the vehicle and how the situation needs to be directed.”
The response times will be clocked, but where does Sirius and Rapid Response SOS come in? They each have an automated crash identification system. That information has been verbally provided to 911 systems, and they are experimenting with sending that information digitally, to see if the location and vehicle information can be passed on more…
