The Mayor and Board of Aldermen for Scotts Hill met on Monday evening, June 7, 2021. There was lengthy discussion on the solid waste pick-up issue and the motion to purchase a side-arm garbage truck was withdrawn after some newer bids were presented. The low bid by United Waste Haulers of Tennessee, LLC, was approved.

The board approved some budget amendments to accommodate the DRA grant changes, and also raised the bid requirement amount from $5,000.00 to $10,000.00.

Also, in order to remain competitive, the starting salary for the police department was raised by the board to $15.00 per hour.
