Juvenile Being Sought in Shots Fired Incident

The Lexington Police Department is looking into an occurrence that resulted in shots being fired in the parking lot of Walmart.

A juvenile is being sought in the Sunday, June 6, 2021, shots fired incident which occurred at the Lexington Walmart parking lot.

Captain Jeff Middleton, with the Lexington Police Department, said that around 9:00 p.m. on June 6th that a disturbance was reported between two groups of youths and juveniles in the northwest corner of the Walmart parking lot. As one of the parties left, an occupant fired a single shot into the air. There were no injuries or property damage reported.

According to Captain Middleton, there were enough witnesses to be able to identify a particular juvenile as the suspect, and LPD anticipates being able to make an arrest.
