VFW Hosts Cornhole Tournament
A cornhole tournament was held at that old Franklin-Wilkins Airport on June 5, 2021, which was hosted by Lexington’s VFW Post #1294 and the Ladies Auxiliary.

Lexington’s VFW Post #1294 and the Ladies Auxiliary hosted a cornhole tournament at the old Franklin-Wilkins Airport, which serves as their headquarters, on Saturday, June 5, 2021. There was music, burgers, and hotdogs available, as well as prizes for the tournament. The weather was great for the event and teams gathered at some great looking cornhole boards. Whether you are professional or a beginner, one participant said, “It’s just a fun way to spend your time!”
